Find the palindrome pair

Each Drompales clue leads to two words. Put the words together and the result reads the same forwards and backwards.

Start with the playful clue. If you need help, reveal a straightforward definition. Still stuck? You can reveal one letter. The less help you use, the higher your medal.

Scoring

Diamond for solving from the cryptic clue alone; Gold after either the plain clue or one revealed letter; Silver after using both. Revealing the whole answer ends the puzzle without a medal.

Wrong guesses do not reduce your medal. The help you choose is what determines the score.

A crossword clue with a mirror in it

Drompales is a daily word game built around palindrome pairs: two ordinary words whose combined letters make a perfect palindrome.

The first clue is intentionally compact and playful. The optional second clue gives straightforward definitions of the two answer words.
